Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Sheets Geocoder website and Google Sheets add-on. By accessing or using Sheets Geocoder, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.

Eligibility and accounts

You must have the legal capacity to agree to these terms. If you are not old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live, a parent or legal guardian must agree for you. You are responsible for activity under your Google account and for keeping that account secure. Do not share access in a way that circumvents per-account limits.

The service

Sheets Geocoder converts selected addresses into latitude and longitude coordinates and converts selected coordinate pairs into formatted addresses and structured location fields. Results depend on third-party mapping data and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Verify results before using them for safety-critical, legal, emergency, navigation, or other high-impact purposes.

Free allowance

Each Google account receives 100 geocodes one time. The allowance does not reset monthly and has no cash value. Forward and reverse geocoding requests both count toward the allowance.

Paid subscriptions and automatic renewal

Paid subscriptions provide unlimited geocoding for one Google account, subject to these terms and reasonable safeguards against abuse. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the interval and price displayed at checkout until canceled. Stripe processes payments and provides billing receipts and the customer billing portal. You authorize Stripe to charge your selected payment method for each renewal.

We may change plan pricing or features prospectively. When legally required, we will provide advance notice before a change applies to a renewal. Failed or reversed payments may result in restricted or suspended paid access.

Cancellation

You may cancel through the billing portal available from your account. Unless stated otherwise at cancellation, your paid access continues through the end of the current billing period and the subscription will not renew. Deleting the add-on or revoking Google access does not by itself cancel a paid subscription.

Refunds

Refund requests are considered individually on a case-by-case basis. Approval is not guaranteed. This policy does not limit any refund or cancellation rights that cannot legally be waived. To request a refund, email jacob@codeprint.io with the Google account email associated with the subscription and a brief explanation of the request. Do not send payment-card details by email.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• evade usage, account, or subscription limits;
• resell or provide the service as a shared geocoding API;
• interfere with, probe, or overload the service;
• access another person's account or data without authorization;
• submit data you do not have the right to process; or
• use Sheets Geocoder in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

Your data and Google services

You retain responsibility for the spreadsheet data you submit and for obtaining any permissions required to process it. Your use of Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, Google's geocoding services, and Google sign-in remains subject to Google's applicable terms. Our handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Ownership

Sheets Geocoder and its software, branding, site content, and service design are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the service as intended; they do not transfer ownership of the service.

Availability, suspension, and termination

We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risk, nonpayment, legal requirements, or a material violation of these terms. Where practical, we will provide notice.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Sheets Geocoder is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of geocoding results. To the extent permitted by law, Sheets Geocoder is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of the service or reliance on its results. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post revised terms here with a new last-updated date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
